In keeping with the Artifact theme in the Library/Learning Center this year, the students learn about one of the greatest inventions of all time: photographs. Being able to imagine stepping inside a photograph makes for compelling story-telling!

The first presentation in my How We See in 3D series teaches students the formula for seeing in 3D: 2 eyes + 1 brain = 3D. A camera with two lenses “sees” like our eyes do, and our fantastically wonderful brains know how to overlap the images so we see depth.
