The Floatiest Snowflake

6th grade ELAR STEM teacher, Mrs. Grothe, put her creative imagination to work for the last long two full days of school before Winter Break.

She took Scherenschnitte to a whole new level. Why just fold and cut paper into pretty snowflakes when her students could do experiments to discover which design descends most slowly through the air?

Today, she posted the winning design for the floatiest snowflake:
