During the day, Zulma Sanchez is the Lone Ranger, armed with a mop. She arrives before the sun rises to double-check the campus for cleanliness and safety.
Besides sanitizing every surface, Ms. Sanchez wrangles carts and boxes and traffic cones and cafeteria tables before hoisting the U.S. and Texas flags each morning.
Her Walkie-Talkie is attached to her hip at all times to answer any and every call of duty during the long school day, taking care of the most disgusting “spills” with speed and compassion.
Zulma is also a role model to our 5th and 6th graders by consistently demonstrating a good work ethic and high personal standards of achievement.
She also supervises the evening crew: Angelina Iniguez and Irma Rico.
Where would we be without Zulma? In a big fat stinking mess, that’s what!
